In a recent sermon, Pastor Albert mentioned that about 10% of the world’s population go to bed hungry every night. That is about 828 million people.
Many in our own communities are not immune to food scarcity and rely on food pantries to meet their basic food needs. Our Sparks youth group picked up brown bags that were distributed a week before, containing the food donations from our members and neighbors, who have generously donated food to those less fortunate. The bags were delivered to Queens Reformed Church in Queens Village, whose weekly community soup kitchen provides a hot meal to many people.
Thank you for supporting CCD’s humble effort to help sustain the nearest and neediest of God’s children and their families through the cold winter months.
