In Celebration of the Life of Joseph French

Joseph French, a longtime Douglaston resident, passed away in early 2023 after a long battle with myelofibrosis and subsequent acute myeloid leukemia. He faced his diagnosis with profound courage and strength. Joe was deeply committed to his family, friends, and to the Douglaston community throughout his life. He was the recipient of hundreds of life-saving blood and platelet transfusions during the course of his cancer treatment. These transfusions would not have been possible without the generosity of blood donors.

Joe was dedicated to helping others in big and small ways. His love, kindness, humor, and generosity were felt by all who knew him.

Please consider honoring Joe’s memory by donating blood to save a life.
