Fun For The Whole Family

On October 26, CCD held an Apple Festival on the church's front lawn. The event was well attended by the community and there was something to do for the whole family. Children participated in a variety of games and had the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity at a craft station. There was a demonstration on how to make apple cider, a Halloween costume parade, and pumpkin carving, with a variety of food on offer as well. Other participants included the Douglaston Garden Club, who had their annual bake sale, the abc Early Childhood Learning Center, the PS 98 PTA and the Udalls Cove Preservation Committee. Sophia Muccini displayed her talents by peforming a wonderful set of songs, and based on the success of this year's event, the plan is to make it an annual event for all to enjoy.
